LOS ANGELES (April 1, 2014) – Internet advertising media agency Amplitude Digital has hired industry veteran Roger O. Thornhill as its Chief Creative Officer.
Thornhill comes to Los Angeles-based Amplitude Digital after a distinguished decades-long career along New York’s famed Madison Avenue. A dashing, handsome, witty, classical advertising executive, Thornhill has spearheaded work on a wide range of accounts across a variety of industries.
Thornhill helped craft award-winning and successful campaigns for several top-tier agencies in New York, and also served on the board of a renowned international art dealer. Some of Thornhill’s most famous broadcast work was helmed by a legendary British director known for his cutting-edge techniques and mastery of suspense.
In the interest of security, Thornhill requested that the names of these former employers and creative collaborators be kept private.
In his new role at Amplitude Digital, Thornhill will oversee all of the fast-growing agency’s creative efforts, heading the development of work in traditional media like direct mail as well as digital creative in display ads, social media, mobile, PPC and more.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Roger O. Thornhill to the Fang team,” said Amplitude Digital Partner Jeff Ferguson. “All of us here at Fang have been huge fans of his work for several years, and we’re confident he can carry on his tradition of smashing success here on the West coast.”
“We’re thrilled that Roger has granted us the honor of working, learning, creating and succeeding alongside him,” added Amplitude Digital Marketing Media Director and VP Martin Thomas. “His transcontinental experience and insight accents our existing group in a truly brilliant and magnetic fashion.”
Thornhill is due to arrive in Los Angeles and begin work with Amplitude Digital next week. He is currently wrapping up some previous business interests at an undisclosed location in South Dakota.
